Grade.10
Rationale: This is a very close zoom in on the eye with a rose in the reflection of the lens. I wanted to create the vibe of being focused on one thing, in this case the rose. The rose is typically a symbol of love so I wanted to show that the owner of the eye is focused on love. With nothing else that can be seen I wanted it to feel like the viewer only knows that the person is in love and that that is an obsession or overwhelming trait of this person's personality.

Grade.11
Rationale: I drew a miserable looking man with a tear streaming down his face. He looks like he's given up on something and that he didn't want to. I included petals to hint at the regret being that of love or friendship that hasn't worked out how he would've wanted it to.

Grade.12
Rationale: I wanted to display the fragmentation negative emotions can cause in someone's brain. The mouths are screaming and the eyes are wide open almost like a scream of horror. The emotion I focused on is not only seen in the artwork but also felt by the viewer as they are shocked by the facial parts that look like they were cut out.

Rationale: I wanted to show different emotions as everyone has a mix of different emotions they can feel at one time. Emotions aren't just one thing happening at a time but are a constant flow of feelings.

Grade.11
Rationale: A rose is usually for love and so is the heart. I wanted to show the emotion love and I used an anatomically correct heart to add an aspect of realism to the artwork. They are connected by thorns to say that love is not only a positive emotion but can also be the reason for pain.

Rationale: I made this artwork inspired by one of my favourite anime series 'The seven deadly sins'. After watching it I felt inspired to draw my idea of how wrath would look. Unhinged, somewhat crazy and bloodthirsty. I understand wrath as being anger which is so extreme it often comes across as dangerous.

Grade.10
Rationale: This artwork showcases a nonchalant person. Instead of showing a more conventional emotion it shows the emotion which looks like the absence of emotion. Being nonchalant often makes people uncomfortable as people that don't care are very difficult to read and are not predictable through body language and facial expressions.

Grade.10
Rationale: The drawing shows a guy who looks playful and happy with the background being shadowy and vague. I called it happier because in the background or the 'past' things were in more of a negative light and now in the foreground the guy looks happier.
